I just received this message from Randy:
“Something Evangelist Bonnke used to say to pastors all the time was, ‘I am a fisherman. I am coming to your town and would like to borrow your boats (the local church) to catch a great harvest. When I am done, I will empty my nets of my entire catch into your boats and won’t keep one for myself. Then I will mend my nets and go to the next town.’
The local church is so important to what we do because we need a place to put ‘our catch’ so they can be discipled. This is why I was so happy with the results of the Fire Conference this morning. We had no power for quite some time, and it also was raining, and yet the 700-800 pastors didn’t run and hide – they stayed and sang worship songs acapella. As I stood there in the rain with them, I thought, ‘These are people who love God and will love His people. We are leaving the new converts in good strong boats!’
We had a good first night. The crowd was responsive, we saw many pray the prayer of salvation and we had so many miracles, we couldn’t get to them all!”
