REPENTING ON THEIR KNEES

DRC | NIGHT 4

Dear Mission Partners,

It was a night of power, healing and deliverance here in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) last night! The fourth night of the crusades is Holy Spirit Night. This is when the evangelists call on the people to live lives of surrender to Jesus and invite them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Evangelist Gary Smith wrote to me from Fungurume, where he preached last night from Psalm 51. This sums it up beautifully:

“As I delivered the Word, it felt as though the Lord held up a mirror to the hearts of the people, revealing what needed to be surrendered and cleansed. The presence of God was so holy, so heavy, you could feel conviction settle across the entire field.”

When I shared how King David fell to his knees after the prophet Nathan confronted him, and how he cried out, “Create in me a clean heart, O God,” it was as if the entire crowd stepped into that same moment. I invited the people to call upon the Lord, and all across the field, people dropped to their knees, crying out in repentance, surrendering their lives to Jesus.

Following the call to salvation, we began to pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. That’s when things shifted dramatically. The atmosphere became charged with the power of God. People were being set free from bondage, many weeping under the weight of His presence, while others were experiencing deliverance and healing. Then, suddenly, a wave of supernatural joy broke out across the crowd. The spirit of heaviness lifted, and what remained was pure celebration – laughing, shouting, dancing and rejoicing all around the field.”

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

In Kasumbalesa, where Evangelist Rubens Cunha ministered, there was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, along with powerful miracles.

For 7 years, Abigael had a large growth in her abdominal area, making her look pregnant. After the prayer, the growth completely disappeared. Overwhelmed with joy, she testified that she now looked normal again, hallelujah!

In Likasi, where Evangelist Manuel Reichör also preached on repentance and the Holy Spirit, a wave of deliverance from demonic oppression swept over the field. Many were healed from their sicknesses.

Mecherina had no strength and had been very sick for two and a half weeks. She couldn’t even go outside without suffering from body pain. When she saw the posters for the crusade, she remembered how people had been healed at events like this before — so she came. She thought of the Scripture where people were healed when Peter’s shadow fell on them. She said she had faith to be healed if the spiritual shadow of the evangelists would fall on her! During the prayer time, she was completely healed. She jumped up on stage and ran alongside Evangelist Reichör without any pain.

Jeannette had been experiencing intense pain in her stomach. Eating was a constant struggle — every meal brought pain and discomfort, and she hadn’t been able to eat properly for some time. But on Day 3, after she prayed, everything changed. The pain left completely, and now she can eat freely without any discomfort! Jesus has healed her! Glory to God!

Mimi had lower back pain going down her left leg since Wednesday and was walking in pain. But when Manuel prayed for the Holy Spirit to fall, she felt a force in her and all the pain disappeared! Manuel had her bend over and jump on stage to try it out — there’s no more pain!

We can only go as far as God’s people will send us. That’s why I’m inviting you today to prayerfully consider becoming a Monthly Ministry Partner. Your ongoing support enables us to reach the unreached, to preach where few will go, and to bring the hope of Jesus to those waiting in darkness.

Tomorrow is our final night for this first week of crusades here. Please keep praying for us – God is not finished here yet!

WITCHDOCTOR SAVED AND HEALED!

DRC | NIGHT 3

Dear Mission Partners,

Today I made the long journey by car to the third city where our CfaN crusades are taking place this week – Kasumbalesa. This city has never hosted a Gospel crusade before, and you could feel the anticipation in the air. The people came with open hearts, ready for a move of God.

I preached with everything in me, and the response to the Gospel was overwhelming – nearly unanimous. After the call to salvation, we burned witchcraft items – charms, idols, amulets – casting off every tie to the occult. I broke curses in Jesus’ name and then prayed for the sick. The power of God fell, and miracles broke out.

In fact, a local witchdoctor named Kadima Papi came forward with a powerful testimony. He had suffered from a painful, swollen hernia for four years – so debilitating he couldn’t walk properly or be intimate with his wife. But during the prayer for the sick, the pain vanished and the hernia disappeared! Overwhelmed by what Jesus had done, Kadima renounced witchcraft and surrendered his life to Christ. He left the field healed, delivered, and born again!

Kadima Papi is healed, saved and renounces witchcraft!

Similar scenes unfolded in Fungurume, where Evangelist Derek Berchie ministered, and in Likasi, where Evangelist Esther Tshiumanga brought the word. In each city, Jesus showed Himself strong with undeniable miracles:

In Fungurume: A 3-year-old boy named Prosper had never spoken a word in his life. But after the prayer, he began speaking for the first time! They tested him by asking him to say “Yesu” and count in French – “Un, Deux, Trois” – and he did it with clarity and joy!

And In Likasi: Antoine had lived with a painful hernia for 10 years. He couldn’t move without agony. But tonight, he was healed! He demonstrated his miracle on stage by jumping, pain-free and beaming with joy.

It’s hard to imagine how these crusades could get any better – but we know from experience: the final nights are often the most powerful. As word spreads about what Jesus is doing, the crowds will swell, and the Gospel will flood these regions like a wave – leaving a mark that will last for eternity.

Eli heard about the crusade yesterday and came with strong back pain – he hadn’t been able to bend for 3 years. After Evangelist Gary prayed yesterday, Eli returned home believing by faith that he was healed – and he was completely healed! They tested him by bending and touching his toes, and he had no more pain.

Kabwamba was completely deaf in his right ear for 15 years. He often heard disturbing echoes and could not hear anything clearly through that ear. But everything changed when Evangelist Kolenda prayed for the sick. As the prayer went forth, Kabwamba felt something shift—it was as if his ear suddenly opened. In faith, he tested it by covering his left ear and to his amazement, he could hear perfectly through his right ear no more deafness, no more echo. Jesus healed him completely!

For two weeks, Chaty suffered from sharp pain in her bones. The pain was so severe that she couldn’t even carry a bucket of water or shower properly. Simple daily tasks became a struggle. But after prayer, everything changed. Chaty is now completely healed! She can kneel down without pain—and even more, she’s able to carry her child again.

If you’ve been stirred by what God is doing here, I invite you to go beyond watching from a distance. Ask the Lord if He is calling you to become a Monthly Ministry Partner. Your faithful giving fuels the ongoing work of the Gospel – day after day, city after city. Together, we are reaping a mighty harvest for Jesus.

Please continue to pray for us, for the final two nights, and for the crusades being prepared for next week. The best is still ahead.

Yours in the Christ,

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda

MAD MEN MADE SANE

DRC | NIGHT 2

Dear Mission Partners,

Tonight, as I was interviewing testimonies on the platform, a sudden commotion broke out in the crowd. People were shouting, jumping, and pointing toward something in the distance. I asked what was happening, and they shouted back, “Mad man!” I said, “A mad man has been healed?” They shouted, “Yes!” So I called for him to come to the platform immediately.

A man emerged from the crowd – his clothes were filthy, his face frozen in shock. I asked him how long he had been like this, and he told me it had been many years. He explained that he used to chase people and attack them without cause. But tonight, he said, Jesus touched him. I turned to the crowd and asked how many of them knew who he was, and hundreds shouted back in recognition and excitement. It was just one of many beautiful miracles that took place tonight in Likasi.

When I returned to the hotel, I saw Gary Smith and Derek Berchie – the team who ministered tonight in Fungurume (the city where I preached yesterday). I told them what had happened. Their eyes lit up. They said the exact same thing had happened in their crusade tonight. A mad man was healed, and the crowd erupted.

Then Bret Sipek, who oversees the entire Congo campaign, leaned over and told us it also happened last night in Kasumbalesa (the city where I’ll be preaching tomorrow). In that case, the man was so tormented he had been physically restrained with chains. After Jesus delivered him, the shackles were cut from his body.

These are not just wonderful testimonies. They’re a powerful picture of the Gospel itself.

Scripture tells us that all of humanity is imprisoned by sin. We may not be bound in visible chains, but the bondage is just as real. And Jesus didn’t die to make the prison more comfortable. He came to break the chains. To shatter the bars. To set the prisoner free.

As Reinhard Bonnke used to say, “The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not a Gospel of renovation – it is a Gospel of liberation.”

That’s what we are witnessing here in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These are not just large meetings. Not just a stirring of religious excitement. We are seeing real freedom. Real deliverance. Real transformation. Please continue to pray for us as the fire of the Holy Spirit spreads from city to city and soul to soul.

Since birth, Junior couldn’t see far. But from yesterday to today, his vision has improved, and now he can see clearly! Evangelist Gary Smith tested his healing by asking if he could see the Congo flag at the back of the crowd. He answered, “Yes – and it’s moving!”

Mama Elari had back pain for 7 years and underwent 7 surgeries. Today at the crusade, she suddenly felt pain in her stomach — and then realized she was healed! They tested her by asking her to bend and touch her toes, and she was able to do it without pain.

Jean had a motorbike accident 2 weeks ago, and since then he had back pain and couldn’t move. But after the prayer, he was able to bend over without any pain.

Adel had pain in her elbow for a month, and now she can move it freely, pain-free!

Lilly had pain in her hips for two years, and after the prayer, she was able to bend over with no pain.

We’re here in Congo because we’ve been sent by people like you! Monthly Ministry Partners make it possible for us to plan further ahead and make the most of our budgets. It would mean so much to us if you would commit a monthly amount to the harvest, as the Lord leads you.

Yours in the Christ

CAMPAIGNS EVERYWHERE!

DRC | NIGHT 1

Tonight, three Gospel Campaigns launched simultaneously here in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is exciting new territory for us. Not only have we not been in this region before, but these cities were literally villages just a few years ago – the population has exploded. With every step here, we are possessing new ground, in Jesus’ name.

I had the privilege of preaching in the city of Fungurume. On the hour-long drive to the campaign field, we passed through Likasi – where I’ll be preaching tomorrow night – and passed advertisements for upcoming CfaN campaigns scheduled for next week and next month, all in this same region. The atmosphere is electric. There’s a sense that something historic is happening. This land is ripe for a massive harvest.

In Fungurume tonight, the response to the Gospel was overwhelming. And after the message, Jesus began to confirm His Word with signs and wonders.

TESTIMONIES

Here are just a few of the many testimonies we received:

Antho had suffered from chronic body pain, headaches, and pain in her hands. She couldn’t walk properly and was mocked by those around her. But after prayer, she was completely healed and began walking normally.

Marlene, a 10-year-old girl, had been deaf in her left ear for a year. Tonight, she was healed. I tested her by covering her good ear, standing several feet behind her, and speaking. She repeated every word perfectly – even though she doesn’t speak English!

Meanwhile in Likasi and Kasumbalesa…

In Likasi, something else new and beautiful was happening. The main languages in DRC are Swahili and French, not English. Usually, the preaching is in English, translated on stage. But tonight, Evangelist Manuel Reichör (a CfaN Bootcamp graduate from France) preached in French! He tells me that from the first sentence he spoke, the response was loud and enthusiastic. But as he preached, complete silence fell on the field, the crowd hanging on every word. When he gave the altar call, the field was a sea of raised hands.

Over in Kasumbalesa, where Evangelist Rubens Cunha preached, the crowd was overwhelmingly made up of young people. They were so eager to hear the Gospel, they filled every tree around the field. Despite their youth, they listened with the same reverence and attention. Many gave their lives to Jesus, and there were wonderful miracles – a great first night. The town must be buzzing today! I’ll be there on Friday night.

So many miracles took place tonight. Each one lifted the name of Jesus and stirred even greater hunger in the crowd. The momentum is building across this entire region.

Please continue to lift up our teams in all three cities as we press on through the next four nights here in the DRC. We are believing for an unprecedented outpouring.

Yours in Christ,

OUT OF THE BACKYARD

TETE, MOZAMBIQUE | FINAL NIGHT

When we go to a place, we want God to move in such a way that the city will look at Jesus. It’s not our job to try and force anyone to salvation, but simply to make them look at Jesus. Reinhard Bonnke used to call this ‘bringing the church out of the backyard.’

THE GOVERNOR ASKED FOR AN INVITATION

Well, that happened this week in Tete! At the start of the week, we had a dinner for government officials and church leaders, and there were many empty chairs. Fast forward to Sunday night, and we didn’t have enough chairs for all the officials that came, many of whom got saved. Even the governor and his wife reached out to ask if they could come. They were gracious and kind, and after the prayer for salvation, both took Now That You Are Saved booklets

God has moved in such a way that the entire city took notice. He truly brought the church out of the backyard.

TESTIMONIES

Testimonies like these had the whole city buzzing…

For the past year and seven months, Grace had a cyst in her elbow. She visited multiple hospitals, but nothing helped. Because of the cyst, she was unable to lift her arm. But yesterday, the cyst disappeared - and now she can move her arm freely again! To test it, she lifted and moved her arm, and there was no more pain!

Leopoldo took time off work to attend the campaign because his family desperately needed a miracle - his mother-in-law was very sick and bedridden. She couldn’t move, eat, or even breathe properly. At the campaign, he had someone pray for her over the phone. Shortly after, he called his wife to check on her again. His wife said, “It’s strange – Mama is up, walking, moving things around in the house, and asking for food!” She’s completely healed!

Since 2017, Clementina had a problem in her womb. She could even feel the issue from the outside, and there was constant pain - even when she touched her stomach. She heard about the campaign and how God had done a miracle for her friend. Even though she had no money, God made a way for her to travel 300 km to attend. Yesterday, after the prayer, she received her own miracle: all the pain was completely gone!

We are now counting down the hours to the start of THREE campaigns in the Democratic Republic of the Congo! Believe with us for an overwhelming wave of salvation, healing and deliverance to touch that nation this week and please keep us in your prayers daily.

MOVING IN POWER

TETE, MOZAMBIQUE | NIGHT 3

God is moving in POWER in Mozambique right now! Check out these testimonies from Tete, where CfaN Bootcamp graduate Randy Roberts is preaching.

It was Holy Spirit Night yesterday in Tete, Mozambique. Please pray for more salvations and miracles tonight, the last night!

In 2014, Ides had an accident that left her with a broken right leg. A metal plate was inserted, and from that moment on, she lived with constant pain. She wasn’t able to stand for more than an hour without severe pain, and she couldn’t run. But today, Ides stood for over three hours — completely pain-free! To test it, Evangelist Randy took her by the hand and ran with her across the entire stage — and still, no pain! Ides was shocked and in tears over the miracle God had done for her!

Since birth, Ana Maria had problems with her eyes — no doctor could help her. It constantly felt like she had sand in her eyes. She always had to put drops into her eyes, otherwise the pain was unbearable. But since yesterday, she hasn’t used any drops — and all the pain is gone!

Since 2023, Zaba had been suffering from shoulder pain and was unable to lift his right arm. On Thursday, during prayer, he placed his hand on his shoulder — and from that moment on, he was able to lift his arm again without any pain. At first, he didn’t want to testify publicly because he is a pastor. But after Evangelist Roberts preached about breaking pride, he felt convicted and came forward to share his testimony and break his pride. To test it, he lifted his arm on stage — and was able to move it freely!

Since birth, Zareta had not been able to speak clearly. Her cousin came forward to testify that this was true. But today, after the prayer, she was able to repeat words and speak clearly for the very first time! To test her, the evangelist asked her what her name was, and she was able to say it. Then he asked who healed her and she responded, “God!”

NOT AFRAID OF THE DEVIL

TETE, MOZAMBIQUE | NIGHT 2

Night Two of the CfaN crusade in Tete, Mozambique was a moment of powerful breakthrough. As elsewhere in Africa, witchcraft holds great power over the people. This is what Evangelist Roberts shared with me last night:

“Last night we had a good crowd for the first night, but there were challenges. The music was off, the ushers weren’t handling the testimonies properly and worst of all, there seemed to be a heaviness and stiffness to the people.

On Friday nights we have people bring ‘juju’ (witchcraft items like idols, talismans, potions, powders, written spells etc.) so we can burn them. I also ask for a list of foul spirits and curses that afflict the city. Usually there are 10 or maybe 15, but tonight they gave me a list of 26.

PEOPLE WERE AFRAID OF THE DEVIL.

I sensed what was wrong. The people were afraid of the devil and the witch doctors. When I took the microphone, I emphasised that the devil is under our feet and that they needed to bring their witchcraft. To prove this point, I went down and pulled two bags of juju out of one of the barrels and held it up for everyone to see. Then I threw it on the ground and began to dance on it. There was a collective gasp across the crowd. When I wasn’t struck down the crowd roared with approval!

The Bible says that the devil goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour and as soon as we figure out that he may not devour us, he loses his power over us! The rest of the night, the heaviness was gone, and people filled the two 55-gallon drums with juju. We had so many miracles take place, we couldn’t get to all the testimonies.”

While this breakthrough is happening in Mozambique, our trucks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are on their way for next week’s three crusades there. Right now, our urgent prayer requests are for the safety and protection of our teams and financial provision for final costs in the DRC. Please keep standing with us in this harvest season!

“I AM FAITHFUL”

TETE, MOZAMBIQUE | NIGHT 1

We are nearly halfway through the Decade of Double Harvest, the vision the Lord gave me to see 75 million salvations turn into 150 million by the end of this decade. How? It could never happen just by adding some more campaigns each year. It must be through Multiplication and Collaboration.

Well, today I am sharing a report with you from Mozambique, where CfaN Bootcamp graduate Evangelist Randy Roberts is leading a four-day CfaN Campaign. That’s right – the multiplication the Lord showed me – which is why we train evangelists! – is bearing rich fruit right now.

Randy sent me this message last night:

“I just arrived back in my room after the first night of the campaign here and I am rejoicing. God moves in such a profound way in these campaigns that it causes the whole city to stop and acknowledge Him. As you can imagine, the devil doesn’t like that because we are taking ground and so he tries to resist our efforts, hinder our finances and to cause all sorts of problems. All in an effort to get us to quit. He has tried all those things, and we have experienced pressure on all sides, but when we pulled onto the field tonight and there were thousands upon thousands of people, none of that mattered. I didn’t see any of the problems, I only saw the harvest and I began to weep tears of joy and thank Him for drawing these people to Him. As I did, He clearly spoke to my heart ‘I am faithful’. I knew that to be true before, but I know it better now. If we won’t quit and just trust Him, He will come through every time.”

TESTIMONIES

There were many miracle testimonies after Randy prayed for the sick.

This little girl, Nazira, had a tumour on her neck. During the prayer for the sick, it completely disappeared!

Antonio had a cyst inside his right eye since January this year, making him blind in that eye. During prayer, he laid his hands on his eye, and when Randy prayed, the cyst disappeared — and Antonio could see again. To test the healing, Randy had him cover his left eye and then showed him fingers from a distance. Antonio was able to count them perfectly!

My heart is full to overflowing – He is faithful! When He gives a vision, a mission, He is the One who brings it to fruition. Stay tuned for more good news from Mozambique this week!

FROM OBSTACLES TO OPPORTUNITIES

Originally, the plan for the DRC this year involved a massive Gospel Campaign in Kinshasa, supported by several smaller events in nearby neighborhoods. But as I shared with you, tension and conflict have escalated in this country in the past months. Our team had to be nimble and reassess the changing situation.

“It just didn’t make sense for us to go to Kinshasa at this time,” explained Bret Sipek. Instead, the decision was made to shift focus to a series of smaller, yet highly strategic cities in the Lubumbashi region in July, far from the heart of the unrest.

This change of plan has become an inspired opportunity. These newly-targeted cities are booming, thanks largely to mining. Once sleepy villages, places like Fungutume, Kasumbalesa, Kipushi, and Likasi have swelled to populations of over 100,000 or more, becoming vibrant urban centers. Many of these cities didn’t even exist in their current form just a few decades ago!

NEW CITIES, DEEP HUNGER

Despite rapid development, these mining hubs are often spiritually starved. People come from all over for work and opportunity, and they also bring with them deep needs. These towns are often marked by high levels of exploitation, prostitution and substance abuse – the issues that come with rapidly-growing frontier towns.

The CfaN team has already conducted “Fathers’ Meetings” in each location, gathering senior pastors and bishops to build unity and share vision. Local churches are not only welcoming the initiative – they say they’ve been praying fervently for it.

“In these cities, you see people praying all night,” said Bret. “They cry out to God. It feels like their voices are being heard in heaven.”

REACHING THE BORDERLANDS

Despite – or perhaps because of – the rapid growth and harsh conditions, these places are fertile ground for revival. Several of the planned campaign cities lie near the border with Zambia. Kasumbalesa and Kipushi, for instance, are strategically located to impact not just Congolese communities but also those across the border.

Border towns often serve as intersections of culture, commerce, and movement. In our experience, they’re also places where hearts are open, and communities are responsive to the Gospel.

FROM FIRE CAMP TO FIREWAVE

One of the most exciting developments is a growing emphasis on equipping African evangelists for Africa. In the DRC, our team is pioneering a new initiative: bringing in Zambian “Fire Campers” – budding evangelists who have completed a CfaN Fire Camp – to minister in the DRC Firewave (multiple smaller outreaches leading up to the main event). It marks the first time that Fire Campers from one African nation are being mobilized to serve in another.

RECONCILIATION MIRACLES - MOZAMBIQUE

Further south, Evangelists Randy Roberts and Denis Artyushevskiy (both CfaN Bootcamp graduates and veteran campaign organizers) have been mobilizing local churches in Mozambique, where three Gospel Campaigns are planned this year – two in July and one in October. Randy shared:

One of the main benefits (in addition to salvations) that we have observed from campaigns is the unity that is cultivated within the body of Christ. We usually don’t see this until preparations are well underway or even after the campaign. However, that is not always the case. We are already witnessing the Body of Christ come together in just the first few meetings in Mozambique.

This story from Tete is evidence that the Holy Spirit is working on the hearts of the people.

In 2007, pision broke out within one of the biggest denominations in Tete – the Zion church. Half followed Bishop Lucas Zaba, forming the United Christian Zion Church, and the other half followed Pastor Manuel Pita, forming the Apostolic Zion Church. These two men had not worked together or even shared a meal since.

BUT GOD!

We always endeavor to hear God’s voice and be led by His Spirit. If He’s leading us somewhere, He’s already been there before us.

In 2022, our campaign in Beira saw 208,157 salvations. News of this reached Tete, and both men began praying for us to come. When we arrived, their hearts were ready. Within two meetings, they repented, forgave one another, and joined the Board of Advisors to prepare for the campaign in July.

In 2022, our campaign in Beira saw 208,157 salvations.

Our friends Nick and Marlee, missionaries in Tete for13 years, wrote this message to Denis: “One of the things that impacted my wife and I most was how well the pastors from various churches worked together. There was such honor in the way they spoke to each other and how they trusted and made choices together. We also loved seeing how unified they already seem to be, all excited to work together for one goal – to see people saved here in Tete!”>

NO TIME TO WASTE

I am firmly convinced that we have the best team of campaign organizers in the world! But no matter how good they are, they cannot do this alone. The regions they’re working in are volatile. Logistics are complex. Costs are always rising. And the enemy does not want us there.

As a team, we feel a great sense of urgency for this region, where anything can change in a moment, and frequently does. There’s no time to waste. We also feel a growing excitement in our spirits for what God is doing there right now. The Gospel will be proclaimed to cities that didn’t exist a generation ago, to people crying out for something real – people who need Jesus.

YOUR PARTNERSHIP CAN HELP WRITE HISTORY

These are not just plans – they are divine appointments in the making. We are stepping into cities old and new, into places just desperate for a touch of God. There is hunger in these places. There is hope. And there is an open door for the Gospel – but we cannot walk through it alone.

Will you walk though it with us? Will you help us to write a new chapter of salvation, healing and revival for these cities? Your gift, big or small, can help make that possible. Thank you so very much if you are able to invest in these African campaigns with your donations and prayers.
