MONROVIA, LIBERIA

FRUIT THAT REMAINS

February 22, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

Our hearts are overflowing with joy tonight. We've just returned from the field here in Monrovia, Liberia where thousands responded to the Gospel and put their faith in Jesus Christ.

Christ for all Nations was last in this country in 1998. We have been hearing amazing testimonies of salvations and healings that took place then. It is so wonderful to hear about the fruit that remains after many years and it is also wonderful to see what Jesus is doing right NOW!

Tonight the very first testimony came from a man who had been crippled for over 30 years. Before the campaign, he had a dream and he said God spoke to him and told him to attend. Tonight, during the prayer, he said he physically felt something enter his body and his legs were totally healed. He marched on the platform enthusiastically and demonstrated his healing to the delight of the crowd.

Please pray for us this week and for the people of Liberia. More to come!

HEALING THE BROKENHEARTED

February 23, 2012

Dear Missions Partners,

Liberia is a nation that has experienced genocide, civil war, poverty and unspeakable suffering in recent years.  The Scripture God gave me when I arrived is Luke 4:18, 19.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

The greatest salve for the human heart is the healing balm of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It liberates the captives, heals the brokenhearted and blesses multitudes.  Tonight 90,000 people heard the Gospel preached with clarity and huge numbers responded with joy.  After the prayer for salvation miracles began to happen, shouts of joy rang out from the crowd and crutches piled up on the platform.  Blind eyes saw, deaf ears heard and crippled legs walked to the glory of God almighty.

Today was also the beginning of the Fire Conference.  Before I began to preach, I asked a visiting pastor to share his testimony.  He told us how he attended the Fire Conference in 2009 in Otukpo, Nigeria and it revolutionised his life and ministry.  He is now holding crusades all over the place, seeing salvations, miracles and even people raised from the dead!  This is what the fire conference is about.  We believe that when we leave this nation, thousands of others will pick up the baton of the Gospel and run with it until all of Liberia is saved!

HOLY GROUND

February 24, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

The crowd grew to 130,000 people tonight here in Monrovia, Liberia and there was electricity in the air.  The worship was deep and wonderful.  The presence of the Lord was so tangible and sweet it moved me to tears.  The campaign field is holy ground this week.

Many people surrendered charms, fetishes, amulets, idols and juju to be burned tonight.  I preached about the blood of Jesus, led thousands in the prayer of salvation and then broke the curses in the mighty name of Jesus.  Afterwards I prayed for the sick and wonderful miracles happened.

As we were driving off the crusade field, our car was stopped by a throng of people rushing in front of us and shouting frantically.  I rolled down my window and asked what was happening.  A young man shouted back, beside himself with excitement.  He pointed to an old man in the middle of the crowd and said, 'That old man was blind, but now he can see!'  Of course the meeting was over, but the miracles were still happening all over the place.  The 75-year-old man was totally blind for 13 years and suddenly received his sight!

Tomorrow is the final day of the Fire Conference and we are believing for a mighty outpouring. Please pray.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOUND ON EARTH

February 25, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

We've just returned from the field here in Monrovia, Liberia where the Holy Spirit fell in mighty power tonight on the 160,000 people present.  Evangelist Bonnke preached a red-hot Gospel message about the 'Prison of Sin' and even as he was preaching, shrieks rang out from demoniacs in the crowd who were being set free.  When he gave the invitation there was an overwhelming response and as he led the multitudes in the prayer of salvation their voices resounded like thunder across the field - the most beautiful sound on earth!

We also heard wonderful testimonies of what Jesus is doing.  The blind man (that we saw while leaving the field last night) came forward and gave his testimony.

A woman who had a huge tumour in her stomach told us that it vanished!

One powerful testimony came from a young woman who had sickle-cell anemia (an incurable, painful disease which causes abnormalities in the red blood cells and leads to premature death).  When she came to the CfaN Gospel Campaign in 1998 she was suffering with terrible pain, but after the prayer for the sick the pain left her body and from that day to this she has been totally healed!

This morning was also the conclusion of the Fire Conference and it was something special.  After Rev Peter Vandenberg preached the delegates stood to their feet and began to receive the fire.  By the time I stepped onto the platform the Holy Spirit was already falling.  We simply rode the Holy Spirit tidal wave as it swept through.  Praise the Lord!

Tomorrow is the final meeting here in Liberia and I'm sure Jesus has saved the best for last.

ENORMOUS GOSPEL IMPACT

February 26, 2012

Dear Missions Partner,

What in amazing week we have had here in Monrovia, Liberia. 260,000 people attended tonight's final meeting - that's nearly 30% of the entire population of this capital city! The state president attended the meeting along with other top dignitaries and government officials.

Evangelist Bonnke preached the Gospel tonight and prayed for the sick. We heard wonderful testimonies - deaf ears, blind eyes and crippled legs healed to the glory of God.

Another fascinating testimony came from a self-proclaimed witch. She said she has killed 10 people in the past using spells and juju (including two of her sisters) and a couple of nights ago her coven sent her to the Gospel Campaign to kill me. When she tried to place the curse on us, to her amazement she said our prayers were too powerful. Suddenly she fell to the ground and began manifesting demons. The ushers carried her out to the deliverance tent where they cast out the demon. She repented, confessed her sin and received Jesus Christ as Saviour!

After the testimonies, evangelist Bonnke prayed a prayer of blessing over the people, the leaders and the nation. It was a powerful moment. What has happened this week is actually hard to quantify. But one thing is certain... Liberia has been impacted by the Gospel on an enormous scale. We are rejoicing and we thank the Lord for your partnership in the harvest.

ENORMOUS GOSPEL IMPACT

Dear Mission Partners,

I have just heard from our Gospel Campaign organiser who says that they have counted 540,400 decision cards that were completed and returned during our campaign in Monrovia, Liberia.  These precious souls are now being followed up by the local churches that are bursting at the seams with new converts!  This is wonderful news for a country whose entire population is less than 4-million.  We are rejoicing and thanking the Lord for this mighty harvest.

Thank you again for your support and prayers.  We thank God for you.
