76,000,000 Documented decisions for Christ

THE RIVER FLOWING NORTH

Dear Mission Partners,

As I reflect on what has just happened here in Egypt, my spirit is soaring, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Tonight marked the end – not just of our campaign in Cairo – but of an extraordinary journey: 50 campaigns in a single year.

In 2017, at Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s farewell campaign in Lagos, Nigeria, we were sitting in the green room, talking. Reinhard shared something with me that I’ll never forget. He recounted a moment from years ago, when he was in Egypt, traveling up the Nile on a boat. The guide pointed out something unique about the Nile – It flows northward, which is highly unusual for rivers, most of which flow south. In that moment, Reinhard said the Holy Spirit spoke to him: “The river of the Holy Spirit in Africa will flow the same direction – to the North.”

Cairo, Egypt

Though many countries in Northern Africa are closed to the Gospel, Reinhard felt a deep assurance from the Holy Spirit that a move of God would come, one that would open the way for the Gospel to penetrate even the most resistant places. Tonight, as we close this chapter in 2024, I can’t help but feel we are standing at the edge of that prophecy being fulfilled.

Tonight, I promised the crowd that I would not only preach the Gospel and pray for the sick, but also pray for them to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit. After a moment of worship, I asked for silence. The people prayed quietly, and then it began – an outpouring of the Holy Spirit so powerful it brought me to my knees.

We pressed on, praying for the sick. Evangelists Joe Turnbull, Macoby Donaldson, and Niki Gladkov joined me as the power of God swept across the field. Miracles unfolded before our eyes. The Holy Spirit moved so mightily that even some standing in line to testify on the platform were overcome, falling to the ground, unconscious under His presence. I could only stand in awe of what God was doing.

But the most extraordinary moment came with the altar call. I preached from Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock…” As I spoke, I could see the impact on the crowd. Even grown men wiped away tears as Jesus touched hearts from every background – different religions, races, and cultures. When I gave the invitation for salvation, the response was overwhelming. Leading the crowd in the prayer of salvation, I couldn’t help but think of Reinhard. I wished he could have been there to see and hear what God was doing.

Now, as we turn toward the holidays and time at home with our loved ones, we carry with us the gratitude of knowing so many of you have prayed for us and supported this work. Thank you for your love, your faithfulness, and your partnership. This year, we have witnessed history in the making, and I pray that each of you feels a deep sense of participation in what God has done.

We’ve spoken often about the 50th year of Christ for all Nations, but here’s the reality: the ministry’s official birthday is December 6th. That means the 50th year hasn’t even started yet! With what’s ahead, I have no doubt we’ll cross the threshold of 100 million documented decisions for Christ by the end of the 50th year.

So, while we rejoice in the extraordinary harvest we’ve seen, we also look ahead with faith and expectation. The best is yet to come, in Jesus’ name!

A PROPHETIC MOMENT

Tonight marked the first night of our final Gospel Campaign of the year – the last of fifty. We began in Cape Town, and now, after months of relentless effort and miracles that could fill a lifetime, we’re in Cairo. For those who grasp the weight of this moment, it’s nothing less than prophetic.

Christ for all Nations began with a dream. Back in 1974, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, then a struggling missionary in southern Africa, had a prophetic dream in which he saw a map of Africa, washed in the blood of Jesus. He heard a voice declare, “From Cape Town to Cairo, Africa shall be saved.” The same dream came to him four nights in a row, until he finally told his wife, Anni, “I think God is trying to tell me something.”

Now, here we are – 2024 – celebrating 50 years of Christ for all Nations. This year, we felt a divine invitation to press into God’s promises in a way that bordered on audacious. In the past, we might have completed six or seven campaigns in a year. But this time, we set out to accomplish something bold, something unprecedented: 50 full-scale, mass evangelistic campaigns. Not fifty nights or meetings – fifty campaigns!

There were moments when the goal seemed impossible – when the obstacles felt insurmountable. But by God’s grace, here we stand. The fiftieth campaign began tonight, and with it, a new era of evangelism for CfaN.

As we pulled onto the field tonight, it felt like stepping into a moment of history. The field was packed, but the atmosphere was unlike anything we’re used to. The crowd was reserved, quiet, respectful. Part of that is cultural, but part of it is the sheer novelty of this event – something unheard of in this part of the world. In a nation where more than 90% of the population is Muslim, preaching the Gospel openly isn’t just rare; it’s usually forbidden.

For the first time in my ministry, I preached on a campaign field where a Muslim minaret literally loomed overhead. The call to prayer echoed across the crowd as the service continued. Around us were houses and apartment complexes, inhabited by Muslim families, so close we could see into their windows. And yet, the Gospel rang out, loud and unmistakable. Some people sat on their balconies, listening intently.

I preached Jesus – the way, the truth, and the life without hesitation. I spoke of the blood of Jesus and the beauty of the cross. When I gave the call for salvation, the response was so overwhelming we nearly had a stampede. Then, as always, I prayed for the sick, and Jesus moved in power. Miracles happened, undeniable and wonderful. Some were too afraid to testify publicly, worried about the risks to themselves and their families. But nothing could stop Jesus from saving and healing.

Tomorrow night is our last in Cairo. Please pray – for our safety and for an extraordinary harvest in this city where the Gospel is making history.
